"The Seamstress"
Well, SOMEBODY has to sew the clothes! The Seamstress is a Black Folk Art, hand sewn Witch. She wears an early mourning calico hand sewn dress with pocket. Her face is stitched with lips & nose separately applied. She wears a 19th. C. homespun head rag and a black cotton Witch's hat. Around her neck is a tiny tape measure, tied to her wrist is a make-do "Bat" pin cushion with early steel & glass pins and in her pocket is a roll of early black cotton. She holds a couple of straight pins in her mouth and all of this is sewn on top of an old large spool of black thread. She stands 14 inches tall.

"Squirrel with Acorn Hat"
This sweet squirrel is hand sewn from early gray cotton and rag filled. He measures 6-3/4" long and is 5-3/4" tall. He has a little stitched face and a cute squirrel tail and wears a woolen Acorn hat, hand sewn from two early wools. A tiny rusty bell ties around his neck.

"Francie"
Francie is a glorious blue pumpkin head doll, filled with early rags, batting & raw flax. Her face is stitched and sculpted with separately applied mouth. She wears early linen long drawers trimmed in early blue fabric, and pitiful socks. Her dress is a 19th. C. blue calico with a make-do early blue calico full apron. Pinned to her apron is a calico and homespun bag in blue from the 1800's, the bag is filled with raw flax. She stands 10 inches tall.

"Augustus"
Augustus is a MOST wonderful SCARECROW standing 16 inches tall. He is hand sewn from early cotton, he has fingers and is filled with early batting, rags & raw flax. His face is stitched with separately applied mouth. His jacket is a quilt piece in pumpkin plaid homespun with a pocket filled with raw flax. His pants are the same pumpkin plaid homespun without the quilting. His shirt is a black star calico from the 19th. C. with 2 rusty bells for buttons. He wears an early faded black wool suiting hat adorned with the tiniest pumpkin with stem & leaves. He carries an early fork as his make-do "pitchfork" with remnants of early paint. His shoes are hand sewn leather with early socks sewn to fit.

"Pumpkin Time"
Pumpkin Time is inspired by the famous folk art painting done by the loving hands of Lori Brechlin. With her permission I am honored to bring "Pumpkin Time" to life in cloth. He stands 21-3/4" to the top of his hat. He is entirely hand sewn & rag filled. His face is stain painted cotton with early suiting wool eyes & nose and early quilting thread for his eyes & eyebrows. His hat, slipper shoes and little pockets are hand sewn from the black suiting wool. His shirt is an early homespun with collar. Early black glass jet beads are added for buttons. An early black & white star calico ties around his collar. His jacket & short pants are sewn from the same old wool which has 2 different sides. The jacket is sewn in Colonial style from the black & drab pumpkin plaid wool. It also has early black glass jet beads for buttons. His short pants, also in Colonial style have 4 black glass beads holding up the waist and 1 each at the knees. Old cotton stockings are fit to size for him. In his left hand he holds a grubby old time piece dangling from the old black star calico. It is 12 midnight.

"Wednesday's Flight"
Young Witch named Wednesday is taking her first broom flight. She is hand sewn from early cotton, rag & batting filled. Her face is needle sculpted and stitched and she has the most wonderful auburn braided hair. Her dress is an early black tiny polka dot with white collar. She wears long drawers in early black hounds tooth calico. Early stockings and early cotton hand sewn "Witchy" boots. She wears a tattered early black cotton Witches hat. Attached to her early star calico apron is her broom made from a birch branch and old whisk broom. She stands 12 inches tall to the top of her hat.

"Mr. Ben Brown"
Mr. Ben Brown is sure to please and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! He is hand sewn from paint stained sack cloth, filled with early rags & batting. He sits upon a lovely old jar filled with oil scented sunflower seeds. His features are hand sewn from black suiting wool and early long jons. His teeth are stitched from old quilting thread. He smokes a vintage corn cob pipe. His hat is a vintage hat covered in early cotton stitched by hand. To adorn his hat I created a Sunflower from early paint stained cotton and early wool with a little bit of hand quilting. His floppy bow tie is an early striped shirting. Mr. Brown measures 10-1/4" tall and is about 7 inches wide.

"Kitchen Witch"
Well, SOMEONE has to cook the food! My bottle doll, Black Folk Art Kitchen Witch measures 8-1/4 inches tall. She is hand sewn from faded early black cotton & rag filled. She has stitched eyes, needle sculpted nose and applied rosebud lips from early faded red cotton. She sits upon an old paper label BUNN"S Horseradish jar, beautiful graphics in color on the paper label. The jar is filled organic dried Juniper berries. She wears a dress hand sewn from an early thread bare Cadet blue homespun with it's original faded striped edge. Her full apron with pocket and head rag are an early tattered faded bittersweet homespun check. Her little Witchy hat is sewn from a 19th. C. moon & star blue calico. Pinned to her chest is a stamped blue star on an early original stocking and held on with a rusty pin.
