To the Irish Alannah means "O Darling Child". She is modeled after my favorite early rag doll. She is hand sewn from early cloth and filled with early rag scraps. She wears an early brown & green homespun dress trimmed in early green checked gingham. She has needle sculpted & stitched features. A reddish raw wool is lightly applied for her hair. "Early Cloth Basket With Egg"
Using strips of early blue calicoes & homespuns I braided and stitched this basket with handle. It measures 3" wide and is 3-1/4" tall. The egg is a gourd which I hand painted in an early Yelloware design in blue & cream. A superb little collectible for Spring or for all year 'round! The egg measures 2-1/2". $49.00.

"Butterfly Pinkeep"
This is a reproduction of an early Butterfly "Pinkeep" to which I added a bit more pizzazz! It has 4 different early blue calicoes hand sewn to the naive wings and "FORGET ME NOT" cross stitched to the top. The underside is an early Cadet blue homespun. Her eyes are early black glass beads. A Cross shaped paper Mache' box is covered in early fugitive purple calico. The inside is lined with a page from an 1800's Bible. This is reproduced from an early Amish made critter spied by my friend Susan. I developed him in to a "Bunny". She is hand sewn from early gaberdine suiting and filled with early rag scraps. All hand sewn with early tatting thread. Her face is lovingly stitched and she has little naive feet sewn on separately. She measures 5" long and stands 2-1/2" tall. This is the sweetest small tin wire egg basket I have ever seen! It measures 3-1/2" across and stands 6" tall.
